Hello! This is my 6th year at NRHEG teaching 7th grade Science and 8th grade Science, and also serving as the Student Council advisor. Previously, I taught Agriculture Education for 7 years at Waseca and 1 year at Maple River. I enjoy teaching science because it is hands-on and so relatable to everyday life. I love teaching middle school in particular because the students are enthusiastic, curious, and and not afraid to try new things. Every day is an adventure! I live outside of Waldorf on a farm with my family. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, going for walks, reading, and watching my boys play sports.

"After growing up in Waterloo, Iowa, I moved to Texas where I earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in biology from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi as well as taught chemistry, physics, environmental science, and AVID for eight years. I really enjoy learning new things and adding to my understanding of the world around us, and although I appreciate all areas of science, I particularly like microbiology and environmental science. I live in Mapleton and during my free-time I like gardening, bicycling, traveling, reading, and aquascaping. This will be my second year at NRHEG and my 10th year teaching overall and I am excited to be teaching 7th grade science, chemistry, and earth science."
