I was born and raised in Mankato MN and the surrounding areas. Prior to teaching I served in the Military as a Crew Chief on C-130 aircraft. I spent six years stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base Arkansas before I was honorably discharged in 2007 at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Our family moved around a lot with the military. We’ve lived in Jacksonville Arkansas, Misawa Japan, and Del Rio Texas.  After returning back home to Minnesota, I decided to go to college and obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education through Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am so excited for the opportunity to teach here at NRHEG Secondary.  I have always had a passion for creating things. Sewing, crocheting, and re-purposing items are just a few of my beloved hobbies. Cooking from scratch and preparing healthy meals for my family is very important to me. Being a FACS teacher gives me the opportunity to teach my passions to others. The life skills  and career basics taught in the FACS classroom prepare today's youth to become productive members of society.
